JOHN STRAND TO RELEASE ACTION-MEMOIR PATRIOT PLEA: A POLITICAL PRISONER’S FIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE

NASHVILLE, TN (Jan 9, 2025) – John Strand, artist and activist turned political prisoner is set to release his highly anticipated action-memoir Patriot Plea this February, including a foreword by Eric Metaxas and an afterword by Dr. Simone Gold. The book offers a firsthand account of the events surrounding January 6, 2021, and the aftermath that irrevocably reshaped Strand’s life. Following his conviction and a 32-month federal prison sentence, Patriot Plea, unpacks the personal consequences of political injustices.

With unwavering conviction, John Strand stands firm in asserting his sentence was a politically motivated ploy for actions he maintains were lawful and principled. “I know that I never had any mens rea or the criminal mind of any intention to break the law or act inappropriately at any point,” he states. “This is why I refused the government’s plea and why I continue to maintain my innocence as I pursue appeal of all convictions.”

The events of January 6 were a defining moment in U.S. history that not only impacted individuals like Strand but also now forces all Americans to confront issues of civil rights, injustice, and political overreach. Patriot Plea stands as Strand’s testament to his resilience in the face of adversity and his refusal to waver in his belief in truth and justice.
