GRAMMY-NOMINATED JOHN MEADOR DEPARTS AUTHENTIC UNLIMITED TO JOIN VINCE GILL’S BAND, ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTION IN MUSIC

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 21, 2025) – GRAMM--nominated, IBMA winning- singer/guitarist John Meador has announced his departure from Authentic Unlimited to join country music legend Vince Gill’s touring band. Additionally, Meador is set to embark on an exciting new chapter, working on his unique brand of music. 

Since co-founding Authentic Unlimited, Meador has made an indelible mark on the bluegrass scene, earning acclaim for his distinctive vocals and masterful musicianship. His tenure with the band saw multiple award nominations, chart-topping success, and a dedicated fan following. Now, Meador is set to bring his talents to Vince Gill’s band, an ensemble known for its elite musicianship and deep-rooted influence in country music.

“I am beyond grateful for my time with my closet friends, Authentic Unlimited (should we name them) and the incredible journey we’ve had together. I am proud of the many accomplishments we have had together. After much prayer and consideration, I have made this tough decision,” said Meador. “Playing with Vince Gill’s band is an unbelievable honor, and I’m thrilled to share the stage with such an iconic artist. At the same time, I’m eager to explore my own musical identity in the coming year.”
