NASHVILLE, Tenn. (OCTOBER 17, 2018) - She Sings, an inspiring musical written and performed by Washington, D.C. native, Rebecca Magnuson, debuts on November 16 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, D.C. and November 29 at the Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee. Magnuson has co-produced the project with Jim Kimball, a recent GRAMMY® winner for his work on Reba's Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope album, and also receives an impressive co-writing credit for her collaboration with Songwriters Hall of Fame member Bobby Braddock on a song titled "World Without Love." Select tickets are still available HERE.
Braddock exclaims, "SHE SINGS is a one-woman musical, and the one woman is the incredibly talented REBECCA MAGNUSON. Rebecca is giving a voice to the voiceless..to survivors of verbal, emotional, and/or financial abuse, helping them heal through her show. SHE SINGS is called a 'soaring musical,' and I can emphatically declare that it soars mightily! This impressive body of work, of which I was honored to co write and produce with Rebecca one of her twelve original songs, ends with the anthem-like, invigorating title song, 'She Sings,' where she is joined on stage by a choir of friends who sing with her both in harmony, empowerment, and in alignment with her mission of healing through music. I will be there in the front row for her opening night! This is a MUST SEE!" Bobby Braddock, Country Music Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee
As an added bonus for concert goers, a soundtrack release party will be held at the venue following each performance. She Sings, A Musical by Rebecca Magnuson, Original Cast Recording will be on sale November 16 and available to purchase at shows and at www.SheSings.com. The Voice finalist, Adam Cunningham, will sing two duets with Magnuson during the opening dates.
She Sings is a truth inspired one woman musical show, derived from an amalgamation of many survivors’ experiences, that tells the story of triumph over injustice in a world where love and kindness must prevail. When She Sings, she speaks out for those who are voiceless.
10% of ticket sales from the D.C. show will go to Knock Out Abuse who, in their 25th year, gives funding to victims of domestic violence, and the Franklin Theatre show will share the same donation with Thistle Farms whose mission is to heal, empower, and employ women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction, often resulting from domestic abuse.
