The Gospel Music Association is excited to announce the first round of performers for the 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards. Artists scheduled to perform include Artist of the Year Nominees Tasha Cobbs Leonard and for KING & COUNTRY featuring Lecrae and WRLDFMS Tony Williams as well as Apollo LTDJonathan McReynolds, Leeland featuring MandisaSinach and Maverick City Choir, and We The Kingdom with more performers yet to be announced. Viewers will be able to watch the global broadcast Friday, October 30th at 8 pm/7 pm CST on TBN.

As these special moments are filmed and artists have been brought into this year's format, many have expressed their excitement, including seven-time GMA Dove Award-winner, Natalie Grant, who said, "During this unprecedented time, what the GMA team is pulling together is absolutely incredible. They’re crafting something brand new that will uplift and inspire you and your family in a fresh way. It’s the Dove Awards like you’ve never experienced them before, and you won’t want to miss it!" GMA Dove Award-winner and 2020 nominee Jekalyn Carr shared her excitement saying, “One of my favorite things about the Dove Awards is how it’s always one big family reunion! Even though we won’t be able to be together in person this year, the GMA team is working to put together a new kind of show that will showcase the incredible stories and songs that have carried us through this year. I’m already inspired and I know you will be too."

Christian Healthcare Ministries is excited to partner on this thoughtful re-invention.
“The Bible frequently mentions music as a form of worship—and we believe that spiritual health directly affects a person’s physical health. As Psalm 1 says, “Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” Christian Healthcare Ministries’ first priority is to glorify God, whether in word or deed. Worshipful music glorifies our Lord, and the Gospel Music Association and the messages its members send to the world glorify God and uplift and share his kingdom,” said J. Craig Brown, CHM President and CEO. “We’re very pleased to be a part of GMA, and we congratulate and thank its members for their contributions to the spiritual health of Christians everywhere.”
With the new format and all-star line-up, this year’s awards show will be a historic event not to be missed. The 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards will air Friday, October 30th, exclusively on TBN. Viewers can locate the broadcast on TBN using the network’s channel finder, via TBN’s live stream HERE, or by downloading the app to view TBN on Apple or Android devices.

In an effort to capture both the trials and triumphs of 2020, the GMA is putting together a new kind of Dove Awards; one that will inspire through both music and story. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year’s show will not be performed to a live audience. Instead, through a variety of pre-recorded performances, producer Paul Wright plans to incorporate a variety of new elements to create more of a cinematic approach than previous shows. In the video below, Wright shares his creative vision for this year’s reimagined event.
