Big Kenny, of the country duo Big & Rich, is proud to partner with nationwide cable and satellite television network, RIDE TV to bring awareness and support for Congressional Sports for Charity at the 2019 Congressional Baseball Game for Charity. The Congressional Baseball Game for Charity will take place on June 26th. For tickets and information on attending or donating, please visit http://www.CongressionalBaseball.org

“We asked Big Kenny to join us at this year’s Congressional Baseball Game for Charity, because he represents so many things that we at RIDE TV stand for,” said Michael Fletcher, CEO, RIDE TV. “He supports what is good for America, specifically rural America, and what is more American than baseball and bipartisan members of Congress working together to raise money for charity?”

Big Kenny is a Virginia native, who was born and raised on a farm in Culpeper, VA. He is also an avid humanitarian, supporting hometown charities such as the Salem Church and Salem Volunteer Fire and Rescue, to The 2030 Collaborative, which addresses global health and development of policy and funding to a better, safer and more sustainable world for everyone, as well as veterans, police forces and more. Big Kenny is someone who believes in doing good for all humans, regardless of which side of the congressional isle they identify with. Big Kenny will be singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” at the 5thinning stretch of the game.

Big Kenny and RIDE TV found alignment through their mutual support and love for rural and heartland America. RIDE TV’s goal is to serve an audience that often goes under-served when it comes to content, entertainment and news that affect them personally. Big Kenny’s rural heritage gives him a unique insight into this need, and beyond that, he stays connected to this group through musical talents. Country music is the soundtrack to the heart and soul of rural America.

“Looking out for rural America is an important bipartisan issue,” said Big Kenny, of the country duo Big & Rich. “We can all agree that top rated healthcare, the fastest communication networks and the best schools should not be limited to a few major cities across the country. I am excited to participate in this year’s Congressional Baseball Game for Charity and advocate for these issues, as well as support charities near my hometown.”

The Congressional Baseball Game for Charity is an annual event played by members of the United States Congress. The game is a bipartisan tradition enjoyed by politicians and citizens alike, where Democrats and Republican members of Congress form teams and play against each other at Nationals Park. The tradition of the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity is about setting aside politics and coming together across the isle to support children and families in need. Charities supported include the Washington Literacy Center, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and many others, including some that aim to show gratitude to the United States Capitol Police officers and those injured at the Republican practice shooting on June 14, 2017.
